Title

Resolution approving amendments to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program to create a Pedestrian Amenity Project at the historical Seneca Station with a budget not to exceed $4,000, appropriated from a reduction in the CDBG 2004 Contingency Fund; and to create a South 70 Street Streetscape Project with a budget not to exceed $250,000, appropriated from a reduction in the 2003 Contingency Fund and the transfer of 2004 Catalytic Incentive Project Funds

 

Body

WHEREAS, pedestrian improvement projects and the aforesaid project costs are eligible for CDBG funds; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Pedestrian Amenity Project at the historical Seneca Station involves the installation of a decorative bench, waste receptacle, and construction of a cement pad to support the amenities; and,

 

WHEREAS, the South 70 Streetscape Project involves the installation of decorative street lighting and various public pedestrian amenities; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Director of Development has recommended approval of the amendments.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the amendments are hereby approved to the CDBG Program for the creation of a Pedestrian Amenity Project at the historical Seneca Station with a budget not to exceed $4,000 appropriated from a reduction in the CDBG 2004 Contingency Fund; and to create a South 70 Street Streetscape Project with a budget not to exceed $250,000, appropriated from a reduction in the 2003 Contingency Fund and the transfer of 2004 Catalytic Incentive Project Funds
