Resolution to approve bid of MJ Construction, Inc. for the installation of concrete curb and gutter, concrete pavement, miscellaneous walk repair, driveway replacement, sanitary sewer, sanitary sewer relay, storm sewer relay, water main relay, building services and utility adjustments in West Washington Street from South 70th Street to South 77th Street and West Madison Street from South 76th Street to South 77th Street in the City of West Allis in the amount of $1,747,024.40.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of MJ Construction, Inc. for 2012 Project No. 2 be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of MJ Construction, Inc. for 2012 Project No. 2 for:
installation of concrete curb and gutter, concrete pavement, miscellaneous walk repair, driveway replacement, sanitary sewer, sanitary sewer relay, storm sewer relay, water main relay, building services and utility adjustments in:
West Washington Street from South 70th Street to South 77th Street
West Madison Street from South 76th Street to South 77th Street
PLAN FILE NOS. SP-1175, SP-1176, W-1299, W-1300, W-1301, W-1302, S-1454,
S-1455, S-1456, S-1460, U-2535, U-2536, U-2537, U-2538
for the sum of One Million Seven Hundred Forty-seven Thousand Twenty-four and 40/100 dollars ($1,747,024.40)
be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West...
