Title

Resolution establishing the City of West Allis Legislative Package for the 2017-18 State of Wisconsin Legislative Session.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the State of Wisconsin Legislature is now back in session for the 2017-2018 Biennium; and

 

WHEREAS, the State Legislature will be considering legislation which has an effect on the operations of the City; and

 

WHEREAS, during the State Legislative session, the City's Legislative Committee meets regularly to review and comment on proposed legislation; and

 

WHEREAS, the City's Legislative Committee develops the City's Legislative Package for consideration by the State Legislature; and

 

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to again develop a Legislative Package for presentation to the Governor, State Assembly, State Senate, and our area representatives and senators.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the attached City of West Allis Legislative Package for the 2017-2018 State of Wisconsin Legislative Session be and is hereby approved.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to communicate details of said legislative package to Governor Walker, State Assembly and State Senate leaders, area representatives and senators, and the League of Wisconsin Municipalities.
