Title

Resolution establishing the monthly employee health insurance premium share contribution for the plan year beginning March 1, 2016.

Body

WHEREAS, the City of West Allis must establish premium share contribution levels for its self-funded health on an annual basis; and

WHEREAS, the Common Council would like West Allis city employees’ monthly health insurance premium contributions to eventually align with the State of Wisconsin employees’ contribution of 12%; and

WHEREAS, the Common Council wishes a gradual increase of the monthly employee health insurance premium share; and

WHEREAS, the current monthly employee health insurance premium contributions are 7.5% for City-sponsored HRA participants and 15% for non-participants of the City-sponsored HRA.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis:

1.                     To approve a monthly employee health insurance premium contribution of 10% for those who participate in the City-sponsored HRA.

2.                     To approve monthly employee health insurance premium contribution of 20% for those who do not participate in the City-sponsored HRA.
