Resolution approving a two-year extension and amendment to the Intergovernmental Emergency Medical Services Agreement for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) between Milwaukee County and the City of West Allis for 2017-2018.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis (the "City") and Milwaukee County (the "County") desire to continue to provide for EMS to the citizens of the City of West Allis and to other individuals as deemed appropriate by the Common Council and Milwaukee County in a cost effective and efficient manner which coordinates care and services throughout the County; and
WHEREAS, the City and the County desire to enter into an agreement to set forth their respective responsibilities in connection with continuing the provision of EMS within Milwaukee County; and
WHEREAS, the City and the County agree to extend the existing agreement through December 31, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the City agrees to amend the contract to include responsibility for software maintenance fees as outlined in the agreement for the computer program referred to as “FATPOT” for the length of the contract; and
WHEREAS, the City elects to not participate in the software program referred to as “FirstWatch.”
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Intergovernmental Emergency Medical Services Agreement for EMS between Milwaukee County and the City of West Allis for 2017-2018, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, be and is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute the aforesaid Agreement on behalf of the City of West Allis.
