An Ordinance to Amend Section 1.020 of the West Allis Revised Municipal Code to divide the City of West Allis into wards based on the published results of the 2010 Federal Decennial Census of Population
Body
The Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:
 
PART I.  Section 1.020 of the Revised Municipal Code of the City of West Allis is hereby amended to read:
 
1.020  WARDS.
 
(1)  Pursuant to section 5.15 of the Wisconsin statutes and based on the published results of the 2010 Federal Decennial Census of Population, the City of West Allis is divided into twenty-five (25) wards.  The ward boundaries and the polling place for each ward are set forth and designated on the Official City of West Allis Ward Map, dated June 15, 2011, which map, together with all subsequent amendments thereto, is incorporated into this section by reference and made a part hereof as though fully set forth herein.

PART II.  The ward map dated June 15, 2011, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby approved and designated as the Official City of West Allis Ward Map.
 
PART III.  Pursuant to Wis. Stats. Sec. 5.15(4)(a), a list of the block numbers used by the U.S. Bureau of the Census that are wholly or partly contained within each ward, with any block numbers partly contained within a ward identified, are attached hereto and made a part hereof.
 
PART IV.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
 
PART V.  This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
