Resolution relative to determination of Special Use Application to establish a temporary staffing agency within a portion of the Summit Place building located at 6737 W. Washington St. (Tax Key No. 439-0001-031).

Body

WHEREAS, Rudy Borchardt, leasing agent for the Whitnall Summit Co., duly filed with the City Administrative Officer-Clerk/Treasurer an application for a special use permit, pursuant to Sec. 12.45(2) and Sec. 12.16 of the Revised Municipal Code, to establish a staffing agency, Staff One, within a portion of the existing Summit Place Office Building located at 6737 W. Washington St.; and,

WHEREAS, after due notice, a public hearing was held by the Common Council on April 19, 2005, at 7:00 p.m., in the Common Council Chambers to consider the application; and,

WHEREAS, the Common Council, having carefully considered the evidence presented at the public hearing and the following pertinent facts noted:

1. The applicant, Rudy Borchardt, leasing agent for the Whitnall Summit Co., has an office at 6737 W. Washington St., West Allis, WI 53214.

2. Staff One, has a valid offer to lease space at 6737 W. Washington St., West Allis, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, more particularly described as follows:

All that land of the owner being located in the Southeast ¼ and Southwest ¼ of Section 34, Township 7 North, Range 21 East, City of West Allis, Milwaukee County, State of Wisconsin described as follows:

Parcel 1 of the Certified Survey Map No. 7256.

Said land being located at 6737 W. Washington St.

Tax Key No. 439-0001-031

3. The aforesaid premises is zoned M-1 Manufacturing District under the Zoning Ordinance of the City of West Allis, which permits employment agencies and offices as a special use, pursuant to Sec. 12.45(2) and Sec. 12.16 of the Revised Municipal Code.

4. The subject property is part of a block adjacent to S. 70 St. and perpendicular to W. Washington St., which is zoned for commercial and manufacturin...
