Title

Resolution approving the transfer of $50,000 from the Contingency Fund to the City Clerk/Treasurer's Office budget for the conducting of the two recall elections.

Body

WHEREAS, two special recall elections have been ordered for May 8 and June 5 of this year; and,

WHEREAS, each election is estimated to cost up to $25,000 per election; and,

WHEREAS, the funds necessary for these two recall elections are not available in the City Clerk/Treasurer's Office budget and, therefore, need to be transferred from the City's Contingency Fund for this purpose.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that $50,000 is hereby approved for the transfer of said amount to multiple accounts for the conducting of the two recall elections.
