Resolution to approve bid of LaLonde Contractors, Inc. for street construction, water main relay, sanitary sewer relay, storm sewer, building services, and utility adjustments in W. Grant St. from S. 55 St. to S. 60 St., S. 57 St. from W. Mobile St. to W. Grant St., W. Rogers St. from S. 53 St. to S. 56 St., and W. Washington St. from S. 96 St. to S. 97 St., in the amount of $2,242,747.87.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of LaLonde Construction, Inc. for 2007 Project No. 5 be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of LaLonde Contractors, Inc. for 2007 Project No. 5:
Street Construction, Water Main Relay, Sanitary Sewer Relay, Storm Sewer, Building Services, and Utility Adjustments in:
W. Grant St. from S. 55 St. to S. 60 St.,
S. 57 St. from W. Mobile St. to W. Grant St.,
W. Rogers St. from S. 53 St. to S. 56 St., and
W. Washington St. from S. 96 St. to S. 97 St.
(Plan File No(s). SP-1113, SP-1114, SP-1115, S-1320, S-1321, S-1322, S-1323, S-1324, S-1325, U-2429, U-2430, U-2431, U-2432, U-2433, W-1228, W-1229, W-1230, & W-1231)
for the sum of Two million, two hundred forty two thousand, seven hundred forty seven dollars and eighty seven cents ($2,242,747.87)
be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,
