Resolution authorizing and directing the City Engineer to pay for Sanitary Sewer Lateral Repairs at 1445 S. 57 Street not to exceed $30,000.
Body
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has a long standing policy of the City's responsibility for making repairs to sanitary sewer laterals from the point of connection to the main sanitary sewer line up through the riser connection; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has determined that the riser section of the sanitary sewer service lateral at 1445 South 57th Street failed based on field observations; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the City Engineer be and is hereby authorized and directed to make fair payment for the repair work in an amount not to exceed $30,000 to the contractors that performed the repairs.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that after the City Engineer is directed to closely review the billings and invoices received from the contractors involved in the repair work and report back by communication to the Board of Public Works at the next available meeting the final costs of the work and any problems or concerns he may have with the billings and invoices received.
