Resolution relative to rescinding resolution no. R-2006-0131 and accepting the proposal of CNI Newspapers for furnishing publication services for an estimated sum of $20,000.00.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it received proposals for furnishing publication services for Common Council proceedings and legal notices for the City of West Allis; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council had previously approved Resolution No. R-2006-0131 to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for furnishing publication services; and,
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has determined that the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel bid was similar to their previous bids, but was misleading and was not the low bid for RFP #919 published April, 6, 2006 and that the low bid process will be met most economically by purchasing publication services from Community Newspapers Inc; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of CNI - West Allis Star be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the amended proposal dated July, 26, 2006 submitted by CNI for the estimated sum of $20,000, effective August 4, 2006 through May 31, 2007 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid service.
