Title

Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Segway of Wisconsin to furnish three (3) Personal Transporters (PT) and accessories for the approximate total of $17,000.00.

Body

WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a proposal for three (3) Segway Personal Transporters (PT) for the Police Department of the City of West Allis; and,

WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Segway of Wisconsin be accepted; and,

WHEREAS, the Police Department has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection because of the postive impact it will have on their budget and the environment.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated May 28, 2010 submitted by Segway of Wisconsin for three (3) Segway PTi2 with accessories for the total estimated sum of $17,000 be and is hereby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that funding for this purchase will be taken from a grant supplied by the U.S. Department of Energy (EECBG).

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
