Resolution to approve the Second Lease Amendment to the original lease by and between West Allis Memorial Hospital, Inc., and Aurora Health Care, Inc., and the City of West Allis.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis ("City") and West Allis Memorial Hospital, Inc. ("Memorial"), have entered into that certain Lease dated May 29, 1963 ("Lease"), whereby the City leases to Memorial and Memorial leases from the City certain hospital property and related facilities more particularly described in the Lease; and,
WHEREAS, Memorial affiliated with Aurora Health Care, Inc. ("Aurora") on February 13, 1995; and,
WHEREAS, the original Lease was first amended by Resolution No. 25314, dated April 18, 1997, which was further amended by Resolution No. 26597, dated January 5, 2001; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City, Memorial, and Aurora at this time to make additional changes to the original Lease, as amended, to further the operations of the Hospital and its relationship with the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Second Lease Amendment (attached hereto) to the original Lease by and among the City, Memorial, and Aurora be and is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officers be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver said Second Lease Amendment on behalf of the City of West Allis.
