Resolution of support relative to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Transportation 2014-2018 Alternatives Program (TAP) award cycle toward a West Allis bicycle share.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis supports the pre-scoping and a second-round TAP application to be submitted to WisDOT for the 2014-2018 award cycle. The purpose of the application is to seek federal grant funding to establish a bicycle share program in West Allis; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis recognizes that WisDOT reimburses project sponsors for the federal share of 80% of the approved TAP project costs, up to the limit of the federal award amount. In light of the minimum twenty (20) percent match requirement, the City of West Allis will work toward securing the matching funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis authorizes staff to apply for a second round TAP application. If the City of West Allis is awarded funding by WisDOT for the 2014-2018 TAP award cycle, staff will submit another resolution for Common Council consideration relative to establishing the necessary agreements with WisDOT for the above referenced project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of West Allis agrees to comply with all applicable laws, requirements, and regulations as outlined in the WisDOT 2014-2018 TAP application materials, the state-municipal agreement between WisDOT and the City of West Allis, and any other program and/or project documentation.
