Resolution approving no rate change in the 2017 sanitary sewer usage charge - City Portion

WHEREAS, Section 1.07(4)(e) authorizes the Common Council to revise sanitary sewer user charges, as necessary, to insure that the system generates adequate revenues to pay the cost of operation and maintenance, including replacement of the Sanitary Sewer Collection System; and,
WHEREAS, the 2017 budget approved by the Common Council on November 15, 2016 requires no change in the sanitary sewer user charge to pay the cost of operation and maintenance, including the replacement of the City Sanitary Sewer Collection System.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that there be no 2017 increase in the rates for the sanitary sewer user charge city portion, and is hereby to remain the same at $1.75 per CCF of water used per quarter, with the minimum quarterly charge to stay the same at $17.50 per quarter effective January 1, 2017.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Manager be and is hereby directed to notify each user of the Sanitary Sewer Collection System of the aforesaid rate as provided in Section 1.07(4)(f) of the Revised Municipal Code.
