An Ordinance to amend Section 2.76(12)(a) of the City of West Allis Revised Municipal Code relative to providing an alternative that new employees may select regarding hospitalization and surgical insurance.

 

Body

The Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:

 

PART I.  Section 2.76(12)(a) of the City of West Allis Revised Municipal Code is hereby amended by creating a new, third paragraph as follows:

 

“3.                     As an alternative to the above six (6) month waiting period, as described in Paragraph 12(a)(1) above, a new employee may select hospitalization and surgical insurance coverage effective the first day of the next month following thirty (30) days after commencement of employment.  In selecting this alternative, the new employee shall pay ten percent (10%) of the monthly premium share from the effective date of the coverage through the sixth month of employment.”

 

PART II.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

PART III.  This ordinance shall take effect October 1, 2004 and be in full force from and after its passage and publication.
