Title
Resolution to increase a Demonstration Commercial Facade Improvement Project Contract by and between the City of West Allis and Wendy A. and Michael J. Matel, property owners for Freese's Candy Shoppe, located at 7308-12 W. Greenfield Ave. by $14,649.19 for a total fa?ade grant not to exceed $49,649.19.

WHEREAS, the City of West Allis offers a facade improvement program funded with Community Development Block Grant Funds (CDBG); and,

WHEREAS, Wendy A. and Michael J. Matel, applied for a facade grant to address issues of slum & blight on the property located at 7308-12 W. Greenfield Ave.; and,

WHEREAS, the Common Council approved a fa?ade grant under Resolution R-2014-0136; and,

WHEREAS, the amendment is necessary to adjust for prevailing wage requirements associated with brick and demolition work; and,

WHEREAS, the project of fa?ade renovation & improvement is eligible for a CDBG grant under the Demonstration Commercial Fa?ade Improvement Program; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Demonstration Commercial Facade Improvement Project Contract, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, be and is hereby approved.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Development, or his designee, be and is hereby authorized to execute and deliver the aforesaid Contract on behalf of the City.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be and is hereby authorized to make such substantive changes, modifications, additions and deletions to and from the various provisions of the contract, including any and all attachments, exhibits, addendums and amendments, as may be necessary and proper to correct inconsistencies, eliminate ambiguity and otherwise clarify and supplement said provisions to preserve and maintain the general intent thereof, and to prepare and deliver such other and further documents as may be reasonably necessary to complete the transactions contemplat...
