Resolution to approve bid of Burkhart Construction Corp. for the accessibility improvements in West Allis City Hall at 7525 West Greenfield Avenue, in the amount of $93,000.00.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of Burkhart Construction Corp. for 2011 Project No. 12 be accepted.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of Burkhart Construction Corp. for 2011 Project No. 12 for:
 
accessibility improvements in West Allis City Hall located at 7525 West Greenfield Avenue in the City of West for the sum of  Ninety-Three Thousand and 00/100 dollars ($93,000.00)
 
be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed through the City Accessibility CDBG Project.
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Accessibility Project budget be increased by $27,350 with transferred funds from the CDBG Contingency Fund for a total budget of $102,300.
