Title
Ordinance to amend Section 12.40(1)(nn) and 12.40(2)(t) of the Revised Municipal Code to permit places of assembly, including clubs, lodges, meeting halls and theaters in the downtown central business district as a permitted or special use based upon the floor area.
Body
The Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:
PART I. Section 12.40(1)(nn) of the Revised Municipal Code of the City of West Allis is hereby amended, as follows:
12.40 Central Business District

(1) Permitted Uses
***
(nn) Places of assembly including clubs, lodges, meeting halls and theaters, limited to a maximum of up to 5,000 square feet of building area and subject to the provisions of Sec. 9.28 of the Revised Municipal Code.
PART II. Section 12.40(2)(t) of the Revised Municipal Code of the City of West Allis is hereby amended, as follows:

(2) Special Uses

(t) Places of assembly including clubs, lodges, meeting halls and theaters, greater than 5,000 square feet of building area and subject to the provisions of Sec. 9.28 of the Revised Municipal Code.
PART III. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
PART IV. This ordinance shall take effect and be enforced from and after its passage and publication.
