WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of Vinton Construction Company for 2013 Project No. 4 be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of Vinton Construction Company for 2013 Project No. 4 for:

construction of a hot mix asphalt shared use path, cantilever retaining wall, modular block gravity wall, storm sewer, concrete curb and gutter, pavement marking, landscaping and restoration in the cross-town connector trail located at:

S. 124th Street to S. 108th Street

for the sum of Eight Hundred Twenty-Eight Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy-Seven and 90/100 dollars ($828,877.90)

be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the total sum of $828,877.90, includes up to $663,102.32 which was approved for funding by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (80% federal/state share with the remaining 20% local share to be ...
