Resolution to Extend the Existing Moratorium on Tattoo and/or Body Piercing Establishments for an Additional Three (3) Months.

Body

WHEREAS, Resolution No. R-2006-0213 was adopted by the Common Council of the City of West Allis on September 5th, 2006, imposing a Moratorium on Tattoo and/or Body Piercing Establishments; and,

 

WHEREAS, ordinances have been introduced to further regulate tattoo and/or body piercing establishments by amending the terms, conditions and restrictions under which occupancy permits may be granted and where said establishments may be located, but such ordinances have not yet been acted upon; and,

 

WHEREAS, it is in the City's interest to put all future applications for new occupancy permits for tattoo and/or body piercing establishments on hold until the proposed pending ordinances are acted upon by Resolution No. R-2006-0213.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the existing Moratorium on tattoo and/or body piercing establishments be extended for an additional three (3) months as set forth in Resolution No. R-2006-0213.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Moratorium will terminate upon expiration of said three (3) month extension or the pending ordinances are enacted, whichever is sooner.
