Resolution authorizing the Finance Department to utilize services from Tri City National Bank for employees and eligible retirees for the Health Savings Accounts (HSA) as they relate to the high deductible health plan.
Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of West Allis has approved a high deductible health plan with a health savings account option for the 2016-2017 plan year; and
WHEREAS, the City Administrator, Director of Finance, Director of Human Resources, and staff met with Tri City National Bank representatives to discuss the ability of the Bank to provide HSA services to employees and eligible retirees at no cost to the City of West Allis and no cost for participants in 2016 (after 2016, fees are waived for retirees and those employees who have a monthly payroll deduction direct deposited into their health savings account); and
WHEREAS, Tri City National Bank is a local business providing banking services at many convenient West Allis locations; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis and Tri City National Bank have had a long-standing, successful business relationship.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal submitted by Tri City National Bank to provide HSA services at no cost to the City be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Administrator, Finance Department, and Human Resources Department be and are hereby authorized to implement the use of HSA services with Tri City National Bank.
