Title

Resolution Authorizing and Directing the Director of Public Works/City Engineer to Pay For Sanitary Sewer Lateral Repairs at 1350 South 74^th Street in the Total Amount of $8,288.86.

Body

WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has a long standing policy of the City's responsibility for making repairs to sanitary sewer laterals from the point of connection to the main sanitary sewer line up through the riser connection; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has determined that the sanitary sewer lateral connection at 1350 South 74^th Street failed based on field observations; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be and is hereby authorized and directed to make fair payment for the repair work to Gene A. Wagner Plumbing Co., Inc. in the amount of $7,875.70 and to Robert H. Ohlrich, the property owner, for the portion paid to Gene A. Wagner Plumbing Co., Inc. for the attempted clearing of the service, in the amount of $413.16.  Payment to be made from the appropriate Sanitary Sewer Utility account.
