Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Schleis Floor Covering for delivering and installing Interface Commercial floor covering for a total sum of $92,316.00.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a cooperative proposal through the State of Wisconsin Department of Administration for furnishing and installing floor covering for the West Allis Public Library, that the proposal received was reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Schleis Floor Covering be accepted.
WHEREAS, The Library Board authorized the use of $60,000 from the 2008 operating budget and approved the transfer of $40,000 from the operating budget to finish the first floor, adult area recarpeting at their March 25, 2009 board meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated February 27, 2009 submitted by Schleis Floor Covering for removing and recycling old carpeting for $9,844.00; furnishing 2,395 sq. yds of Interface floor covering for $58,805.00, and installation for $23,667.00 for a total sum of $92,316.00 in accordance with State Bureau of Procurement Bulletin 11-36010-400 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid services.
