Whereas, in 2006, the Department of Public Works solicited proposals for a five year Water Tank Services agreement to include but not be limited to the painting of the South 116 Street and West Rogers Street water tank; and,

Whereas, SEH Design/Build, Inc. was the only firm to respond to the bid solicitation; and,

Whereas, on February 6, 2007, the City of West Allis entered into a five year professional services agreement with SEH Design/Build, Inc. for the maintenance of the City's 1.5 million gallon water storage tank at South 116 Street and West Rogers Street; and,

Whereas, in the first year of this contract, the water tank at South 116 Street and & West Rogers Street has undergone various modifications and has been painted: and,

Whereas, City staff has determined that SEH Design/Build, Inc. has carried out all activities associated with this work in an extremely professional and competent manner assuring minimal downtime for the tank during these repairs; and,

Whereas, based on the professionalism exemplified by SEH Design/Build, Inc. the Department of Public Works desires to enter into a similar five year professional services agreement for the maintenance of the City's 1.5 million gallon water tank at South 84 Street and West Rogers Street which will include the reconditioning and painting of the tank; and,

WHEREAS, for economies of scale and the coordination of activities associated with these two towers it would be desirable to keep all of the work with a single consultant; and,

Whereas, staff has met with SEH Design/Build, Inc. and negotiated terms and conditions for the work necessary to this program and said work activities are described in the mainten...
