Resolution relative to determination of a Special Use Permit for a bakery, Aggie's Bakery and Cake Shop, to be located at 7326-28 W. Greenfield Ave.

WHEREAS, Adam Purcell, d/b/a Aggie's Bakery and Cake Shop LLC, duly filed with the City Clerk an application for a special use permit, pursuant to Sec. 12.40(2), and Sec. 12.16 of the Revised Municipal Code, to establish Aggie's Bakery and Cake Shop, a proposed bakery, with outdoor dining, to be located at 7326-28 W. Greenfield Ave.

WHEREAS, after due notice, a public hearing was held by the Common Council on July 1, 2014, at 7:00 p.m., in the Common Council Chambers to consider the application; and,

WHEREAS, the Common Council, having carefully considered the evidence presented at the public hearing and the following pertinent facts noted:

1. The applicant, Adam Purcell, resides at 3860 S Lake Dr, St. Francis, WI 53235.

2. The applicant has a valid offer to purchase the property at 7326-28 W. Greenfield Ave., West Allis, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, more particularly described as follows:

All the land of the owner being located in the Southwest ΒΌ of Section 34, Township 7 North, Range 21 East, City of West Allis, Milwaukee County, State of Wisconsin, describes as follows:

Lots 20 and 21 in Block 8 of the Otjen Pullen and Shenner's Subdivision.

Tax Key No. 440-0380-000

Said land is located at 7326-28 W. Greenfield Ave.

3. The use of the building will include both retail and office uses. The primary tenant will be Aggie's Bakery and Cake Shop. They intend to utilize their tenant space for both retail sales (about 1,000-sf) and production (about 4,600-sf). A second ground floor tenant space (about 1,000-sf) will be utilized for a future complementary retail/service use such as a photographer or other wedding industry service professional.
