Resolution authorizing the transfer and use of funds required to remodel the front lobby area of City Hall to create a customer service center
Body
WHEREAS, there is a need to remodel the City Hall lobby area to improve the safety and security for staff and visitors and improve the service delivery for citizens and business to create a customer service center; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council has reviewed the initial plans created by the Director of Building Inspection and Neighborhood Services; and,
WHEREAS, Public Works staff have reviewed the project and met with contractors to ascertain cost estimates for the remodeling; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the plans and funding are hereby approved as included in the attachment*.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Administrator is directed and authorized to fund this effort (if the estimate is revised to less than $25,000) by making the appropriate transfer of budgeted funds from the 2020 City Administration Salary and Wages account #100-1001-513.11-01 to the General City Services Capital Account #100-8813-51.70-04 or if the estimate is not less than $25,000, proceed with the public bidding project for this project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proper City Officials are authorized and directed to take the steps necessary to facilitate the remodeling project.
