Resolution authorizing staff to negotiate, on behalf of the City of West Allis, the possible acquisition of the property owned by Joseph P. Zablocki, located at 1200 S. 63 St. (Tax Key No. 439-0228-000)

Body
WHEREAS, the Community Development Authority ("Authority") of the City of West Allis provided a Housing Rehabilitation Loan in 1996 to Joseph P. Zablocki ("Borrower") in the amount of $11,972.00; and,

WHEREAS, the Authority determined that the property has entered foreclosure and the Borrower has a past due balance of an estimated $4,000; and,

WHEREAS, in order to receive the past due balance the City Attorney has recommended that the City bid on the property; and,

WHEREAS, the Authority under Resolution No. 638 on October 10, 2006, authorized the Executive Director to bid on the property in order to receive the past due balance owed to the City.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that it hereby approves the acquisition of the property owned by Joseph P. Zablocki, located at 1200 S. 63 St.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Executive Director of the Community Development Authority of the City of West Allis is hereby authorized and directed to negotiate the possible acquisition of the property owned by Joseph P. Zablocki, located at 1200. S. 63 St.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that funding for the acquisition will be funded by Community Development Block Grant or HOME funds and shall not exceed $91,000.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the approval as set forth herein is conditioned upon the City of West Allis' full compliance with all applicable local, state and federal laws, ordinances, rules and regulations relating to the activities authorized herein.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Attorney be and is hereby authorized to make such non-substantive changes, modifications, additions and deletions to and from the various provisions of the Contract including any and all attachments, e...
