Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Utility Sales & Service, Inc.for furnishing and delivering one (1) aerial truck for a total net sum of $68,000.00.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a proposal for one (1) demo aerial truck and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Utility Sales & Service, Inc. be accepted; and,
WHEREAS, the Equipment Division of the Public Works Department has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection because of the $17,000.00 saved by purchasing a demo unit this year.
WHEREAS, $85,000.00 has been budgeted in the 2010 budget for the purchase of an aerial truck.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal submitted by Utility Sales & Service, Inc.for furnishing and delivering one (1) demo 2009 Ford F-450 diesel, 4x4 chassis with FX brand fiberglass utility body and a Versalift model T-3100-I insulated telescoping aerial truck for the total net sum of $68,000.00 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that $68,000 is hereby approved to be transferred from the Contingency Fund to the Department's Equipment Acquisition Fund with the money to be paid back to the Contingency Fund in 2010 from budgeted funds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
