Resolution to approve bid of CG Schmidt, Inc. for the construction of a Police vehicle parking garage addition to the existing Police Department structure located at 11301 West Lincoln Avenue, in the City of West Allis, in the amount of $701,500.00.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of CG Schmidt, Inc. for 2008 Project No. 8 be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of CG Schmidt, Inc. for 2008 Project No. 8:
Parking garage addition to West Allis Police/Court Center
for the sum of Seven Hundred One Thousand Five Hundred dollars even ($701,500.00)
be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding by the General Fund, Land & Building Fund, Capital Projects Fund Asset Forefeiture Account and Bonding.
