Resolution Approving an Indefeasible Right-of-Use Agreement by and between the City of West Allis and the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District Relating to the Fiber Optic Cable Between the Police Department and Nathan Hale High School.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis and West Allis-West Milwaukee School District have entered into an Agreement for Intergovernmental Cooperation regarding the Police Department's access to video surveillance in school buildings; and,
WHEREAS, a fiber optic cable between Nathan Hale High School and the Police Department would facilitate police access to such video surveillance; and,
WHEREAS, initial funding for the implementation of the fiber optic connection will come from the Community Oriented Policing Services ("COPS") Grant, previously secured by the West Allis Police Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Chief of Police is hereby authorized to enter into the Indefeasible Right-of-Use Agreement, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, with the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney is authorized to make such changes to the Indefeasible right-of-Use Agreement as may be required to clarify the Agreement or protect the interests of the City.
