Title

Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Spielbauer Fireworks Co., Inc. for furnishing the Centennial and 4^th of July fireworks display for the total sum of $36,000.00.

Body

WHEREAS, the Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received proposal for furnishing Centennial and 4^th of July ground and aerial fireworks display for the Centennial Celebration Committee and the 4^th of July Committee of the City of West Allis, and that the proposal received was reasonable; and,

WHEREAS, the public and private sponsorship and the City of West Allis will underwrite the cost of the shows; and,

WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Spielbauer Fireworks Co., Inc. be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated February 14, 2006 submitted by Spielbauer Fireworks Co., Inc. for furnishing Centennial ground and aerial fireworks display on June 17, 2006 in the net sum of $25,000.00 and the 2006 4^th of July aerial fireworks in the net sum of $11,000.00 be and is herby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is herby authorized to issue purchase orders for the aforesaid services.
