Resolution approving a Memorandum of Understanding to Participate in the Milwaukee County/Waukesha County Consortium for Emergency Public Health Preparedness.
Body
WHEREAS, the Center for Disease Control is annually awarding funding to the State of Wisconsin for Emergency Public Health Preparedness.
WHEREAS, the State of Wisconsin provides grants to local health departmens for Emergency Public Health Preparedness.
WHEREAS, as a condition of funding, the State of Wisconsin requires that health departments form consortiums and sign memorandums of understanding to participate in the joint emergency response planning of the consortium.
WHEREAS, by signing a memorandum of understanding with the Milwaukee County/Waukesha County consortium for Emergency Public Health Preparedness, the West Allis Health Department will be eligible for $43,837 in public health preparedness funds in 2004.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that a memorandum of understanding between the West Allis Health Department and the Milwaukee County/Waukesha County Consortium for Emergency Public Health Preparedness, a copy of which memorandum of understanding is attached, hereto and made part of, is hereby approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council of the City of West Allis hereby authorize and directs the Health Commissioner to sign the aforesaid memorandum of understanding.
