Resolution relative to accepting the sole source proposal of Badger Meter for providing water meters and radio read transmitters for a total sum of $206,580.00.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a proposal for furnishing and delivering water meters and radio read transmitters for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Badger Meter be accepted; and,
WHEREAS, the Water Department of the City of West Allis has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection because of the long term realtionship with this manufacturer and compatibility with our current water meter system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated December 5, 2012 submitted by Badger Meter for furnishing and delivering over a 12-month period, (1,320 each) Badger Meter, Model: RCDL M25 Remote Disc Meters, (Part# UM1-0002-0126) for $61,380.00, and (1,320 each) Badger Meter Electronic Transmission Registration for the M25 meters, (Part # UM1-0001-2522) for $145,200.00, for a total net sum of $206,580.00 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
