Title

Resolution relative to acquiring flu vaccine for 2009/10 from FFF Enterprises, Inc. and GSK for a total net sum of $12,950.00.

Body

WHEREAS, The Health Department has requested purchasing flu vaccine from FFF Enterprises, Inc. and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) for the 2009/10 flu season; and,

WHEREAS, the Health Department of the City of West Allis has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection because the previous distributors from the Multi State contract were unable to guarantee early shipment.  Availability and delivery schedule from FFF Enterprises and GSK is guaranteed and pricing is set by the CDC government contract.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal from FFF Enterprises, Inc. for providing 100 viles of Fluviron for $7000.00 and the proposal from GSK for providing 100 viles of Flulaval for $5950.00 for the total net sum of $12,950.00 be and is hereby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid vaccines.
