Title
An Ordinance to Amend Subsection 2.54(4)(f) and to Repeal and Recreate Subsection 2.54(4)(h) of the West Allis Revised Municipal Code Relating to the Operation of the Legislative Committee.

The Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:
PART I. Subsection 2.54(4)(f) of the Revised Municipal Code of the City of West Allis is hereby amended to read:
2.54 LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE.
(4) ORGANIZATION AND PROCEDURE.
(f) The Legislative Committee, in the conduct of its routine review of legislative and rulemaking matters, shall concentrate its focus on those items that are of significance to city policy and operations.
PART II. Subsection 2.54(4)(h) of the Revised Municipal Code of the City of West Allis is hereby repealed and recreated to read:
2.54 LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE.
(4) ORGANIZATION AND PROCEDURE.
(h) The City Administrator shall provide a copy of the minutes of each Legislative Committee session to each alderperson but the minutes shall not be referred to the Common Council for action. Any alderperson who wishes to take a stance differing from that taken by the Legislative Committee may do so.
PART III. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby amended.
PART IV. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
