Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Works/City Engineer to solicit for, select, and enter into an agreement for indoor air quality services in an amount not to exceed $15,000.
 
Body
WHEREAS, a complaint about air quality inside the Police Department Headquarters building has been received by the Police Department and has been forwarded to the Department of Public Works/Engineering, and,
 
WHEREAS, this could be a serious health issue for all staff and guests utilizing the building; and,
 
WHEREAS, time is of the essence to determine if there is an air quality issue with the building and make all necessary repairs, clean up and modifications that may be necessary in compliance with accepted indoor air quality standards or recommendations.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis as follows:
1.      That the sum of $15,000 be and is hereby appropriated from the appropriate City account to meet the obligations under the aforesaid Agreement.
 
2.      That the Director of Public Works, with the concurrence of the City Attorney, or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed to take any and all actions on behalf of the City of West Allis which they deem necessary or desirable in connection with completing the air quality investigation including, without limitation, soliciting, negotiating, selecting, executing and delivering an agreement for consulting services and performing all obligations under that agreement.
