Resolution to accept the proposals of various nurseries for furnishing and delivering 559 trees for 2026 spring planting for a total net sum of $54,724.

WHEREAS, the Finance Department has reported that it has duly advertised a request for proposal for various species of trees for the Department of Public Works of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable: and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposals hereinafter mentioned be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis approve the proposals submitted by Acorn Farms for 95 trees at $10,495, Chestnut Ridge for 126 trees at $11,533, Leaves Inspired for 7 trees at $767, McKay for 34 trees at $2,780 and Schichtel for 297 trees at $29,149, for a total of 559 trees for a total net amount of $54,724. Funding is provided from the following account MMSD (540-1801-538-56-02) in accordance with City of West Allis RFP #26-001 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Department be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid trees.
