Resolution relative to the approval of an Agreement between the City of West Allis and Employee Benefits Corporation (EBC) for providing administrative services for the City's Section 125 Employees Flexible Benefits Plan.
Body
WHEREAS, Willis, Inc., the City's health insurance and benefits consultant, has conducted a request for proposal (RFP) on behalf of the City for providing administrative services for the City's Section 125 Employees Flexible Benefits Plan, replacing the current provider, United HealthCare; and
WHEREAS, this RFP process was done in conjunction and coordination with the HR Division and Finance Division; and
WHEREAS, the RFP process resulted in the receipt of two proposals from the EFlex Group and the EBC; and
WHEREAS, after careful and thorough review, it was determined to be in the best interest of the City to select EBC based on price and service flexibility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the attached Agreement, as more fully set forth in the Plan Document, be and are hereby approved, to be effective June 1, 2013.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Administrative Officer be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Agreement and Plan Documents on behalf of the City of West Allis.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Administrative Officer be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver such other and further documents as may be necessary for the full implementation of the aforesaid Agreement and Plan.
