Resolution approving the adoption of Single and Two-Family Home Minimum Design Standards for the construction of new Single and Two-Family homes in the City of West Allis.
Body
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis, along with staff and citizens, recognize the importance of maintaining a quality housing stock; and,
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis is developed with housing options of various ages and characteristics that meet the needs of various demographics; and,
WHEREAS, single and two-family homes comprise the City's largest land use pattern and infill development of that land use type is becoming more common; and,
WHEREAS, the aesthetics of the built environment impact surrounding property values, the integrity of neighborhoods, and the competitive nature of the City; and,
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis Plan Commission recommended approval of Single and Two-Family Home Minimum Design Standards at the April 22, 2015 Plan Commission meeting; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed Single and Two-Family Home Minimum Design Standards are hereby attached as Exhibit 1.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Single and Two-Family Home Minimum Design Standards be hereby approved.
