Resolution to approve the proposals from Dorner Company and Sabel Mechanical LLC to install a 12” control valve at the 84^th Street pump station for the total amount of $45,071.10.

WHEREAS, the 12” control valve located at the 84^th Street pump station needs to be replaced due to maintenance and operation concerns; and,

WHEREAS, not replacing the 12” control valve would not adequately address the maintenance issues due to fatigue and potentially affect operations to adequately supply water for the community; and,

WHEREAS, Water Division staff requested a minimum of three estimates for the replacement and installation of the proposed 12” control valve; and,

WHEREAS, the proposal received for the purchase of the 12” control valve from Dorner Company and installation service proposed by Sabel Mechanical LLC was accepted;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposals from Dorner Company and Sabel Mechanic LLC are hereby accepted for the total amount of $45,071.10 and the purchase and installation will be charged to account number 501-2901-537-7005.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Director of Public Works and the Finance Department are hereby authorized to accept the proposals as received.
