Resolution to accept the sole source proposal of Rundle-Spence for providing two PRSMS-2-V4 2 module monitoring and testing stations

WHEREAS, the Water Division has reported that it has received a proposal for the testing modules and all related consumables; and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources mandated large water utilities complete a comprehensive study of the utility’s current Corrosion Control Treatment to include a benchtop study; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Rundle-Spence be accepted; and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection because Rundle-Spence is the only company that can provide monitoring stations approved by the Department of Natural Resources for the Optimized Corrosion Control Treatment study; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated January 1, 2020 submitted by Rundle-Spence for providing two PRMS-2-V4 Module Monitoring and Testing Stations be and is hereby accepted.
BE IF FURTHER RESOLVED that there is funding in the 2020 budget in account number 501-2603-537-5902 (water utility, source of supply and pumping, water treatment expenses, other testing).
