WHEREAS, the Community Development Authority of the City of West Allis (the "Authority") by Resolution No. 701 on November 13, 2007 adopted an amendment to the Project Plan for Tax Incremental District Number Seven - Whitnall Summit Redevelopment Area, City of West Allis, Wisconsin (the "Project Plan" dated November 13, 2007) for $3,500,000 in tax increment financing funds for off-site improvements and administrative fees; and,

WHEREAS, $3.25 million of the 3.5 million was budgeted for the reconstruction of W. National Ave. and for streetscape improvements to provide a safer more pedestrian friendly neighborhood which links the Whitnall Summit Development to the Six Points/Farmers Market Development; and,

WHEREAS, on November 11, 2008 the Authority recommended that the project include the area between S. 60 St. and S. 62 St. along W. Greenfield Ave. and W. National Ave., and that approval for the necessary additional funding be brought before the Common Council of the City of West Allis for approval; and,

WHEREAS, on November 18, 2008 the Safety and Development Committee of the City of West Allis held the request for an additional $268,900 for street lighting between S. 60 St. and S. 62 St. on W. National Ave. and W. Greenfield Ave. to complete a project that would create a safer more pedestrian friendly neighborhood which links the Whitnall Summit Development to the Six Points/Farmers Market Development; and,

WHEREAS, on April 14, 2009 the Authority accepted the bid from Graybar Electric Co. in the amount of $604,988.50 for the street lighting and signal equipment and that additional equipment for the area between S. 60 St. and S. 62 St. along W. National Ave. and W. Greenfield Ave. be purchased at the same ti...
