Title

Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Works/City Engineer to purchase from Badgermeter one hand held meter reading system with related accessories in an amount not to exceed $12,500.

Body

Whereas, BadgerMeter has been the Water Departments long time supplier of quality water meters; and,  

Whereas, BadgerMeter has stopped making remote outside readers in order to supply more up to date radio transmitting meters to it's customers; and,

Whereas, the Water Department expected the change and has budgeted accordingly.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that up to $12,500 is hereby approved to be funded thought the appropriate Water Department account.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be and is hereby authorized to purchase from BadgerMeter one hand held meter reading system and transmitters as needed during the remainder of the year.
