Title

Resolution to transfer $14,500 from the Contingency Fund to the Public Works Department budget for boulevard maintenance.

Body

WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has previously budgeted annually for boulevard maintenance; and,

WHEREAS, in its 2005 budget request, the Public Works Department did not request funds for boulevard maintenance; and,

WHEREAS, the Common Council, in approving the 2005 Budget, did not include the boulevard maintenance funding; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to now restore funding for the boulevard maintenance as explained in the attached letter dated November 18, 2004.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that $14,500 is hereby approved for transfer from the Contingency Fund to the Public Works Department's Accounts ($12,000 - #100-4305-531.12-01; $2,000 - #100-4305-531.43-02; $500 - #100-4305-531.53-16) for boulevard maintenance.
