Resolution to approve bid of MJ Construction, Inc. for sanitary sewer relays and backyard storm sewer in various locations within the City of West Allis, in the amount of $246,200.00.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of MJ Construction, Inc. for 2008 Project No. 14  be accepted.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of MJ Construction, Inc. for 2008 Project No. 14:
 
Sanitary Sewer Relays and Backyard Storm Sewer in
 
South 54th Street from West Rogers Street to West Mobile Street,
South 97th Street from West Schlinger Avenue to West Washington Street,
Easement 745' N. of West Grant Street from South 96th Street to 160' W. of South 96th Street,
West Eckel Lane from South 85th Street to South 88th Street
 
PLAN FILE NOS. S-1355, U-2462
 
for the sum of  Two Hundred Forty-six Thousand Two Hundred dollars even ($246,200.00)
 
be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding by Sanitary Sewer Funds and Storm Water Management Funds and Special Assessments.
