Title

An Ordinance to Amend Subsection 10.12(8) of the West Allis Revised Municipal Code Relating to Parking of Non-Motorized Vehicles (Sponsored by Ald. Narlock).

Body

The Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:

PART I.      Subsection 10.12(8) of the Revised Municipal Code of the City of West Allis is hereby amended to read:

10.12      MISCELLANEOUS PARKING REGULATIONS.

(8)      Prohibition on Parking of Non-Motorized Vehicles.

(a)      No person shall park or leave standing on any street, highway or alley within the City limits, a vehicle which is not self-propelled unless such vehicle is properly hitched or attached to a motor vehicle pursuant to Section 347.47, Wis. Stat.

(b)      This section shall not apply to construction related equipment such as trailers and cement mixers as permitted by the City Engineer during public construction projects.

PART II.      All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

PART III.      This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
