Resolution relative to determination of Special Use Application submitted by Rudy Borchardt on behalf of Barbizon of Wisconsin, Inc. to establish a training facility/vocational school at 6737 W. Washington St. within the Summit Place Building.

Body

WHEREAS, Rudy Borchardt, leasing agent for the Whitnall Summit Co., duly filed with the City Administrative Officer-Clerk/Treasurer an application for a special use permit, pursuant to Sec. 12.45(2) and Sec. 12.16 of the Revised Municipal Code, to establish a modeling training facility/vocational school (Barbizon of Wisconsin, Inc.) within the Summit Place Office Building; and,

WHEREAS, after due notice, a public hearing was held by the Common Council on September 7, 2004, at 7:00 p.m., in the Common Council Chambers to consider the application; and,

WHEREAS, the Common Council, having carefully considered the evidence presented at the public hearing and the following pertinent facts noted:

1. The applicant, Rudy Borchardt, leasing agent for the Whitnall Summit Co., has an office at 6737 W. Washington St., West Allis, WI 53214.

2. The tenant, Barbizon of Wisconsin, Inc., has a valid offer to lease space at 6737 W. Washington St., West Allis, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, more particularly described as follows:

All that land of the owner being located in the Southeast ¼ and Southwest ¼ of Section 34, Township 7 North, Range 21 East, City of West Allis, Milwaukee County, State of Wisconsin described as follows:

Parcel 1 of the Certified Survey Map No. 7256.

Said land being located at 6737 W. Washington St.

Tax Key No. 439-0001-031

3. The aforesaid premises is zoned M-1 Manufacturing District under the Zoning Ordinance of the City of West Allis, which permits schools; music, dance or business, as a special use, pursuant to Sec. 12.45(2) and Sec. 12.16 of the Revised Municipal Code.
