Resolution approving a Sole Source professional environmental consulting services contract with Ayres Associates in the amount of $18,221 evaluating modification to the DNR-approved cap on the former landfill located at 11241 W. Lincoln Ave. to allow a soccer complex to be constructed.

Body

WHEREAS, the City of West Allis currently has a contract with Ayres Associates under Purchase Order No. 23857, dated February 13, 2004, in the amount of $17,000; and,

WHEREAS, the City of West Allis has received a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Brownfield Green Space and Public Facilities Grant Program in the amount of $18,221; and,

WHEREAS, the City of West Allis needs to retain the services of an environmental consultant firm to evaluate and design a modified institutional control to allow a soccer complex to be constructed on top of a DNR-approved cap over the landfill located at 11241 West Lincoln Avenue

WHEREAS, it is, therefore, necessary to enter into a sole source professional services contract with Ayres Associates for the design of a soccer field development within the former landfill site.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis as follows:

1. That the proposal, hereby attached and made a part hereof, is hereby approved.

2. That the City Attorney be and is hereby authorized to make such non-substantive changes, modifications, additions and deletions to and from the various provisions of the contract, including any and all attachments, exhibits, addendums and amendments, as may be necessary and proper to correct inconsistencies, eliminate ambiguity and otherwise clarify and supplement said provisions to preserve and maintain the general intent thereof, and to prepare and deliver such other and further documents as may be reasonably necessary to complete the transactions contemplated therein.
