Resolution relative to accepting the sole source proposal of Business Interiors by Staples for furnishing and installing a Mohawk Information/Reference Desk System for a total net sum of $17,535.66.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a proposal for a modified Mohawk Information/Reference Desk system for the West Allis Public Library; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Business Interiors by Staples be accepted; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing/Central Services Division of the Department of Administration & Finance has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection because of the specialized needs of the Public Library to service the public with individual work spaces that can easily be converted from seated to standing workstations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated December 20, 2012 submitted by Business Interiors by Staples for one (1) modified Mohawk Information/Reference Desk with electronic height adjustable mechanisms for a total sum of $17,535.66 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
